Best MSP PSA software
Ticketing, billing and service-desk automation for a managed service provider, compared on price and what each vendor actually publishes.

HaloPSA wins on pricing clarity: it is the only one of the four with a genuinely published, single flat rate and no tiers gating features away. Syncro wins instead if you want a published US-dollar per-user rate with a lower entry point, though its more advanced automation and SLA dashboards sit on a higher tier than its cheapest plan.
The short answer
- HaloPSA publishes a single flat rate, £66/agent/month billed annually, with no separate tiers, add-ons or locked-away features, per usehalo.com/halopsa/pricing.
- Syncro's Core plan is $129/user/month billed annually ($159/month without a commitment); its Team plan is $179/user/month annually, adding real-time ticket automation and live SLA dashboards not included in Core, per syncrosecure.com/pricing.
- ConnectWise and Autotask both publish zero pricing figures on any tier, routing every plan through a 'Request Pricing' or sales-contact flow, per connectwise.com and datto.com/products/autotask-psa.
MSP PSA tools compared
| Tool | Starting price | Model | API/integrations | Best for | Not for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ConnectWise | Pricing on request | Three named packages (Basic, Standard, Premium), no figures published | CRM, RMM and CPQ/billing system integrations named | An MSP already running other ConnectWise products wanting one platform | A buyer wanting a real number without a sales call |
| Autotask | Pricing on request | Not disclosed | 170+ integrations via a dedicated Integration Hub; unified with RMM through IT Complete | An MSP already in the Datto/Kaseya ecosystem | A buyer wanting transparent self-serve pricing |
| HaloPSA | £66/agent/mo (annual, flat rate) | Single all-inclusive plan, no tiers | Integrations, custom objects and migrations included in the base price | An MSP that wants one price with nothing gated behind a higher tier | A very small shop wanting a low-cost single-user entry tier below the per-agent rate |
| Syncro | $129/user/mo (Core, annual) | Per-technician, unlimited endpoints per technician | Pax8, Domotz, Hudu named; permission-based API access | An MSP wanting a published US-dollar rate with billing tools built in | An MSP that wants advanced ticket automation without moving to the Team tier |
Figures checked on usehalo.com/halopsa/pricing and syncrosecure.com/pricing, September 2026. ConnectWise and Autotask publish no pricing figures on their own sites at any tier; both are reported here as pricing on request rather than estimated.
How the four differ in practice
ConnectWise
Structures its Manage PSA product around three named tiers, Basic, Standard and Premium, differentiated by feature access such as GL integration and marketing-campaign tools reserved for the higher two. Automated ticket intake and SLA tracking, plus agreement tie-back to catch unbilled work, are the headline capabilities, but no dollar figure is published for any tier. Not for: a buyer who wants to compare cost without a sales call first.
Autotask
Positioned by its own site as an open-architecture platform with over 170 integrations and a dedicated Integration Hub, built to unify PSA and RMM functions under Kaseya's IT Complete umbrella. Its service-desk automation includes AI suggestions surfacing relevant documentation inline during a ticket. Not for: a buyer wanting transparent, self-serve pricing rather than a sales conversation.
HaloPSA
The only tool in this set with no tiering at all: one flat per-agent price includes integrations, custom objects and migrations rather than gating them to a higher plan. A separate flat-fee Enterprise unlimited-license package exists at $1M/year for very large organizations, but the standard plan has nothing held back. Not for: a solo or two-person shop wanting a lower-cost entry tier than the standard per-agent rate.
Syncro
Bundles estimates, invoicing, payments and recurring billing automation even at its cheapest Core tier, which few PSA tools do at the entry level. Its Team tier, $50/user/month more than Core, adds real-time ticket automation and live SLA and queue-health dashboards; Microsoft 365 Cloud Backup is a separate paid add-on at $1.90/user/month regardless of tier. Not for: an MSP that wants ticket automation and SLA visibility without paying for the Team tier.
When none of these is the answer
A one-person IT consultancy with a handful of recurring clients does not need a full PSA platform; a shared ticket inbox and a simple invoicing tool cover that scale without the per-agent or per-technician cost these platforms are built around.
SalesCrew is not included in the ranking above because it does not run ticketing, SLA tracking or MSP billing; those stay in a dedicated PSA, not a general CRM. Where SalesCrew is relevant is the sales pipeline that wins a new client before their first ticket exists, and that is a separate system sitting beside one of the four above, not a replacement for any of them.
Questions
- Which PSA tool has the only real published price?
- HaloPSA is the one exception in this category: £66 per agent per month billed annually, published directly on its own pricing page with no separate tiers gating features away. ConnectWise, Autotask and Syncro's lower Core tier all still route through either a sales quote or a published rate that varies by plan.
- What's the cheapest way to start on a published-price PSA?
- Syncro's Core plan is $129/user/month billed annually ($159/month month-to-month), the lowest published per-user rate among the tools that publish one at all. HaloPSA's flat £66/agent/month (roughly comparable in USD terms) is priced differently, as a single all-inclusive plan rather than tiers.
- Why do ConnectWise and Autotask publish no price?
- Both route every tier to a 'Request Pricing' or sales contact flow, consistent with their position as the two most established platforms in the MSP PSA category, often sold through a broader IT Complete or platform bundle rather than a standalone self-serve subscription.
- Does Syncro's cheaper tier include everything an MSP needs?
- Not quite. Real-time ticket automation and live SLA or queue-health dashboards are reserved for its Team tier at $179/user/month, $50 more than Core. Cloud backup for Microsoft 365 is also a separate paid add-on rather than included at any tier.
