How much does CRM implementation cost?
Vendor onboarding fees run up to $3,500 on HubSpot. Your own team's time on data cleanup is usually the bigger bill.

The short answer
- CRM implementation cost is the sum of five lines: the vendor's onboarding fee, data migration, integrations, training and your team's time, and only the first one appears on a pricing page.
- HubSpot lists a one-time Sales Hub onboarding fee of $1,500 on Professional and $3,500 on Enterprise, checked September 2026.
- SalesCrew includes migration help on every tier and brings contacts, companies, deals, notes and tasks across from a CSV export, with a standard import complete within 7 business days.
- SalesCrew Core is $299 a month with unlimited seats, so adding the whole team at go-live adds nothing to the bill.
The fee on the pricing page is the smallest line
You'll see an onboarding fee on some vendors' pricing pages. HubSpot charges a one-time $1,500 on Sales Hub Professional and $3,500 on Enterprise. That number is easy to budget because it's printed. What isn't printed is the work on your side: exporting from the old system, fixing duplicate contacts, deciding which fields survive and teaching the team the new pipeline.
Our position: plan for your own team's hours first, because clean data is what makes an import quick. Clean the export before it moves, and the rest of the project gets cheaper.
What drives CRM implementation cost
Each line, where it shows up and what makes it grow.
| Cost line | Where you see it | What makes it grow |
|---|---|---|
| Onboarding fee | The vendor's pricing page (HubSpot: $1,500 Professional, $3,500 Enterprise) | Higher tiers, required packages |
| Data migration | Your team's time, or a partner's invoice | Duplicates, custom fields, several source systems |
| Integrations | Setup time per connected tool | Each mailbox, form, calendar and data source you connect |
| Training | Hours away from selling | Pipeline stages and custom rules that differ from the old CRM |
| Seats at go-live | The monthly bill from month one | Per-seat pricing multiplied by everyone who needs access |

How to keep implementation small
Start with the records that carry revenue. Export contacts, companies and open deals, then notes and tasks. Test the import on 50 rows before you run the full file, and check that emails match so contacts don't double up. Connect mailboxes last, once the records are in.
Write your stages down before you build them. If the team can't name what moves a deal from one stage to the next, the new CRM will copy the old confusion. The CRM migration checklist walks through each step, and how long a CRM migration takes covers the timeline.
What implementation looks like on SalesCrew
Migration help is included on every SalesCrew tier. You export a CSV from your current CRM and import it into the SalesCrew data bank. You map the columns, SalesCrew matches existing contacts on email, and it fills in blanks without overwriting what's there. Companies, deals, notes and tasks come across from the same export, and a standard import completes within 7 business days.
Connect your mailbox over IMAP and SalesCrew backfills the last 90 days of email on the first sync. Core is $299 a month with unlimited seats, so the whole team can log in on day one. You can export everything again whenever you want. See the plans on SalesCrew pricing.
Don't migrate the mess
Questions
- Is CRM onboarding a one-time fee?
- Usually, yes. HubSpot lists a one-time Sales Hub onboarding fee of $1,500 on Professional and $3,500 on Enterprise, checked September 2026. On SalesCrew, migration help is included on every tier.
- How long does a CRM implementation take?
- Most of the time goes on cleaning and mapping your data, so the length depends on how messy your export is. On SalesCrew, a standard import of contacts, companies, deals, notes and tasks completes within 7 business days. Connecting a mailbox backfills the last 90 days of email on the first sync.
- What data comes across in a CRM migration?
- Contacts, companies, deals, notes and tasks are the core records to plan for. SalesCrew brings all five across from a CSV export of any CRM. Email history comes from the mailbox connection, which pulls in the last 90 days of threads.
- Can you implement a CRM yourself without a consultant?
- Yes, if your data is clean and your pipeline is simple. You'll need an export, a field map and a few hours to test the import on a sample. With SalesCrew, migration help is included on every tier, so you don't need to hire a partner for a standard move.
