The short answer

  • The HubSpot onboarding fee is a one-time charge on Sales Hub Professional and Enterprise, paid on top of the monthly seat price.
  • As of September 2026, HubSpot lists the Sales Hub onboarding fee at $1,500 for Professional and $3,500 for Enterprise.
  • HubSpot's free tools and Sales Hub Starter carry no onboarding fee, so the fee first appears when you move up to Professional.
  • SalesCrew includes migration help on every tier and starts at $299 a month with unlimited seats.

What the onboarding fee pays for

HubSpot's pricing guide lists guided onboarding from HubSpot specialists among what it offers, and it charges for onboarding on Professional and Enterprise. You pay the fee once, when you start the tier, and it sits on top of your seat bill.

That's why the first year on HubSpot costs more than later years. Your seat price repeats every month. The onboarding fee lands once. If you compare CRMs on the monthly price alone, you miss it.

How to plan for the fee before you sign

Put the fee in your first-year budget, not in a footnote. Then price the seats at the headcount you'll have in twelve months. On a per-seat plan, the fee is a one-off, but the seat bill grows with every hire.

Ask two questions on the sales call. Does the fee apply again if you add a second hub? And does your setup need an outside partner on top of HubSpot's own onboarding? HubSpot's guide says complex setups can bring partner costs as well.

If you're weighing a move, SalesCrew brings contacts, companies, deals, notes and tasks across from a CSV export, with migration help on every tier. Connecting a mailbox backfills the last 90 days of email threads on the first sync. See SalesCrew vs HubSpot for the full side-by-side.

Don't compare first-year and later-year costs as one number

A one-time fee makes year one look expensive and year two look cheap. Put both years side by side for each CRM you're weighing, with seats at your planned headcount, so the fee doesn't hide in an average.

Questions

How much is the HubSpot onboarding fee?
HubSpot lists a one-time Sales Hub onboarding fee of $1,500 on Professional and $3,500 on Enterprise. That's per its Sales Hub pricing guide, updated 9 September 2026. Free and Starter carry no onboarding fee.
Do you pay the HubSpot onboarding fee again when you upgrade?
HubSpot's own pricing guide tells you to factor in onboarding when you switch to Professional or Enterprise. Plan for the fee at the point you move up a tier, and ask your HubSpot rep how it applies to your account.
Is the onboarding fee the whole setup cost?
Not always. HubSpot's pricing guide notes that complex onboarding can add consultancy or setup costs with outside implementation partners. Budget for your own team's time too, since someone has to map fields and clean data.
What does moving to SalesCrew cost in setup?
SalesCrew includes migration help on every tier. A standard import of contacts, companies, deals, notes and tasks from a CSV export completes within 7 business days. Plans start at $299 a month with unlimited seats.
