Quotes and payment links, on the roadmap

The plan puts the quote, the signature and the payment on the deal itself, charged on your own Stripe key. None of it ships yet.

The short answer

  • The plan: a quote with line items on the deal, sent as a PDF, accepted with a typed signature, carrying a payment link charged on your own Stripe account, with payment moving the deal stage.
  • Today the quote is a document you produce elsewhere and attach to the deal. What already works is the part that recovers most of the lost revenue: a follow-up cadence that chases an unanswered quote and stops the moment they reply.
  • The line that will not move: money is human-only in the default policy table. An agent may draft the follow-up; it does not take a payment or send an invoice.

What it will do

A quote will be an object on the deal rather than a file beside it. Line items, quantities, totals and terms, rendered to a PDF, sent from the same thread list as everything else, and accepted with a typed signature that records who signed and when.

The payment link is planned to run on your own Stripe key, held in your instance's Supabase Vault. The money reaches your account directly, the customer sees your business on their statement, and nothing sits between you and your revenue. When the payment clears, the deal moves to the stage you nominated.

What already works around it is worth naming, because it is where most unsigned quotes are actually lost. A cadence chasing the quote runs on its schedule, pauses when the customer replies, and the reply lands in the shared inbox on the same deal timeline.

How it will be set up

One of these you can do today.

  1. 1

    Connect

Your own Stripe key into your instance's vault, when the feature ships. Nothing to connect today.

  2. 2

    Configure

Line item catalogue, terms, the signature wording, and which stage a paid quote moves the deal to.

  3. 3

    Run in review

Agent-drafted follow-up waits in the approval queue. Nothing sends a quote or takes a payment on its own.

  4. 4

    Move to auto

For the follow-up cadence only. Money stays human-only in every mode, permanently.

Questions

Can I send a quote from SalesCrew today?
Not as a quote object. Attach the document to the deal and email it; the thread lands on the timeline. Line items, PDF, signature and payment are one roadmap feature.
Whose Stripe account takes the payment?
Yours. The planned design is a payment link on your own key, so the money goes to your account without a platform in between.
Is the typed signature legally binding?
Electronic signature law differs by jurisdiction and by document type. Take your own advice on whether a typed signature suits your contracts. This is not legal advice.
Can an agent send an invoice?
No. Spend and anything outside the CRM is human-only under the default policy, in every agent mode.
What should I do about unsigned quotes now?
Build the follow-up cadence. That is available today and it addresses the larger half of the problem.

Chase the quotes you have already sent
