How an agent-operable CRM works

In SalesCrew, the agent and the person use the same tools. Anything you can click (create a contact, draft a reply, enroll a cadence, move a deal) is also an MCP tool with the identical effect. So your team's Claude or ChatGPT can do the work, and nothing breaks when you switch the automation off.

Control sits in one place. Research, tagging and scoring run on their own, while every external send defaults to review. You see the draft, the evidence behind it and its cost, then approve, edit or reject it. Your rejection reason feeds the agent's next run.

What Agentforce publishes about itself

Salesforce describes Agentforce agents that work within set guardrails and escalate complex issues to people. Its SDR agent answers prospects, handles objections and books meetings, and its Sales Coach runs role-play practice on deal data. You can watch an agent's plan and test its answers in Agent Builder.

Billing runs on several units. Flex Credits are spent per action, customer-facing agents can be billed per conversation, and employee-facing agents are sold as per-user add-ons. Salesforce Foundations is the free entry point, and Agentforce 1 Editions bundle more (all checked 24 September 2026).

What decides it

If your team already pays for Claude or ChatGPT, an agent-operable CRM puts that spend to work. SalesCrew includes the MCP server on Core, so your AI work runs on the plan allowance instead of a per-action bill.

If headcount is growing, seats matter. SalesCrew charges per instance, never per seat. If an AI will send email on your behalf, the review model matters: SalesCrew holds every external send in one queue a person controls. Questions

What is an agent-operable CRM?
An agent-operable CRM turns every action in the app into a tool an AI agent can call. The tool has the same effect as the button. SalesCrew is built this way: 140+ MCP tools, each with a UI twin. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or a custom agent can work the CRM, and the manual path keeps working when automation is off.
How is Agentforce billed?
Salesforce's Agentforce pricing page lists Flex Credits spent per action, a per-conversation rate for customer-facing agents and per-user add-ons for employee-facing agents. It also lists Agentforce 1 Editions and three buying models: pre-purchase, pre-commit and pay as you go. Usage shows in a Digital Wallet with threshold alerts (checked 24 September 2026).
Can I use my own Claude or ChatGPT to run SalesCrew?
Yes. SalesCrew Core includes the MCP server at $299 a month. The AI client your team already pays for can search contacts, draft replies, enroll cadences and move deals. Each MCP token is scoped by channel, profile and area, like a user. Every tool call is written to the audit log with the actor named.
How does SalesCrew stop an AI agent sending something wrong?
Every SalesCrew agent runs in one of four modes: off, draft, review or auto, and every agent ships in review. Any external send waits in one approval queue until a person approves it. Guardrails keep at least 3 days between touches per contact and re-check suppression at send time. One kill switch stops every agent.
What does SalesCrew cost for a team of 20 people?
The same as for a team of 2. SalesCrew has unlimited seats on every tier, so Core is $299 a month whatever your headcount. AI assist runs on a monthly allowance, and bring-your-own-key costs $99 a month and leaves the allowance untouched. The Agents pack adds in-product agents to Core for $199 a month.
