What is HubSpot Breeze?

HubSpot's AI layer: an assistant, 7 named agents and an agent builder, paid for in HubSpot Credits as the agents work.

An admin approves every new account by hand. Nothing is created until then. We reply by email; no newsletter, no sequence.

The short answer

  • HubSpot Breeze is the AI built into HubSpot: Breeze Assistant answers questions from your CRM data, and Breeze agents in HubSpot's Agent Hub do tasks such as prospecting, content and customer replies, per hubspot.com in September 2026.
  • HubSpot names 7 ready-made agents (Content, Prospecting, Customer, Data, Campaign, Nurture and Revenue) plus Agent Builder for custom agents.
  • HubSpot says Agent Hub is included in all Starter, Professional and Enterprise editions, and that many AI features and agents run on HubSpot Credits, so the bill grows with how much the agents do.
  • SalesCrew takes a different route to the same job: every action in the app is also an MCP tool, and each AI action waits in one approval queue you control.

Breeze has 2 parts: an assistant and agents

Breeze Assistant is the chat side. HubSpot describes it as a way to get answers grounded in your CRM data and your role, wherever you work in HubSpot. You ask, it answers from the records you can already see.

Breeze agents are the doing side. They live in HubSpot's Agent Hub. You can start from one of the 7 named agents or build your own in Agent Builder, wiring agents, actions and handoffs into one workflow. HubSpot's own advice is to test an agent first, then let it run on its own when you're ready.

Credits turn usage into the real price

Seats set the base of a HubSpot bill. With Breeze, a second meter runs beside them. Every time a custom agent runs, it spends action units, and you pay for those in credits. A busy agent costs more than a quiet one, even on the same edition.

That's worth modelling before you switch agents on. Count the tasks you expect per week, then ask HubSpot for the credit cost of each. Our HubSpot Sales Hub cost breakdown covers the seat side, and what AI in a CRM costs compares the metering models.

How SalesCrew runs AI agents on your CRM

SalesCrew is an AI-native CRM that your agents can operate and your clients can own. Each of the 140+ MCP tools does exactly what its button in the app does. So you can point Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor at your pipeline, or run the agents built into the app.

Each agent runs in one of 4 modes: off, draft, review or auto. Any outside send, such as an email or a LinkedIn message, goes to one approval queue by default. One kill switch stops every agent at once. On Core, AI work comes from a fair-use allowance of about 5,000 model calls a month, with an alert at 80%. Top-ups are $10 per 1,000 credits, and every tier has unlimited seats.

Switching an agent on without a review rule

The risk with any CRM agent is an outside send nobody approved. Before you turn on a Breeze agent or any other, decide which actions a person must approve, and check the setting in the product, not in the sales deck.

Questions

Is HubSpot Breeze free?
Breeze is part of HubSpot's paid editions rather than a separate product. HubSpot says Agent Hub is included in all Starter, Professional and Enterprise editions, and that many AI features and agents run on HubSpot Credits. So the licence comes with your seats, and the work the agents do is paid for in credits.
What are HubSpot Credits used for in Breeze?
Credits pay for the work AI features and agents do. For custom agents, HubSpot measures each task in action units and you pay for action units with credits, every time the agent runs. You can buy credits upfront or pay as you go, per HubSpot's Agent Hub page in September 2026.
Can Breeze agents send emails without a person checking them?
HubSpot lets you test an agent, then let it run on its own when you're ready, inside guardrails you set. Whether a person reviews each send depends on how you set up that agent. Decide that per agent before you switch it on, and write the rule down for your team.
Can I use Claude or ChatGPT on my CRM data instead of the built-in AI?
Yes, if the CRM exposes an MCP server. SalesCrew exposes 140+ MCP tools with the same effect as the buttons in the app, and Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor all connect to it. Each tool call lands in the audit log with the token that made it.
