Streak alternatives

Streak puts the CRM inside Gmail and gives its MCP server away free. Six alternatives for teams who need the pipeline to exist outside one mail client.

An admin approves every new account by hand. Nothing is created until then. We reply by email; no newsletter, no sequence.

Pipeline with weighted forecast and stage breakdown

Switch if people who do not live in Gmail need to use the CRM, or if outbound sending has outgrown a mail merge. Stay if your whole team works in Gmail and the pipeline is really a set of conversations.

The short answer

  • Streak Pro is $49 per user per month on its monthly option. Its annual toggle shows higher numbers than monthly across every plan, which looks like a page error, so verify the annual price yourself before signing up for a year.
  • Streak's MCP server is free on every tier, including the free one. That is the most open AI-access position in this comparison, and it costs nothing to test.
  • The trade is portability. Streak is a Gmail extension, so the CRM lives where Gmail lives. That is why it takes so little effort to adopt and why leaving Google Workspace means leaving Streak.

How we compared these

Prices and access details come from each vendor's own pricing page, checked in September 2026, not from review sites. Streak's own page is the one anomaly: its annual toggle displays higher prices than its monthly one on all three plans, which we could not resolve across two checks, so only the monthly figure is quoted here and the discrepancy is stated rather than smoothed over.

Evaluated from Streak's own documentation and pricing, September 2026. We have not run it in production. The free-tier scope and the MCP position below are checkable on its site, and nothing here is a report of using it day to day.

The table compares price, where the CRM actually lives, what happens to outbound sending and how open the AI access is. Those four separate this group; contact and deal management does not.

The field, ranked for a team leaving Streak

1. HubSpot

The natural step out of the inbox: $20 a seat annually, a free tier for two users, a solid Gmail integration and a full MCP server. Best for: teams who need people outside Gmail to use the CRM. Not for: cold outbound, which its acceptable-use policy restricts.

2. folk

$24 a member annually with no seat cap and no record ceiling, and cheaper than Streak Pro. It syncs a mail account per member rather than living inside one. Best for: relationship-led teams who want the same lightness in a standalone app. Not for: sending at volume.

3. Close

$9 a user annually with calling and sequences included, which is a fifth of Streak's monthly price for a tool that actually contacts people. Best for: teams whose pipeline is calls and email rather than threads. Not for: anyone who wants the CRM in the inbox.

4. SalesCrew

A multi-mailbox inbox inside the CRM rather than a CRM inside one mailbox, with threads, drafts, SLA and rule-based classification, plus cadences on your own sender pool. Unlimited seats at one flat price, and every action available to an AI client behind an approval queue. Best for: teams running several mailboxes whose sending outgrew mail merge. Not for: small teams, where the per-seat tools are far cheaper, or anyone who wanted the Gmail-native feel. New product, no third-party reviews, no mobile app. Disclosure: SalesCrew is our product.

5. Attio

The flexible-data-model option at $35 a seat annually, with a free tier holding 50,000 records and 250,000 on Plus. Best for: teams whose pipeline needs real structure. Not for: teams over ten seats on Plus, and it does no sending.

6. Copper

The other Google-native CRM, at $23 a seat annually. Note the trade: it caps Basic at 2,500 contacts and 25 companies and ships no MCP server, only a read-only ChatGPT app on upper tiers. Best for: Google teams who want something more structured than Streak. Not for: AI operation or growth.

When to stay on Streak

Stay if your pipeline really is your inbox. For agencies, recruiters, deal-flow investors and anyone whose work is a set of long email threads, Streak's premise is exactly right: the pipeline is a view over conversations that already exist, not a separate database someone has to remember to update. Standalone CRMs make that motion worse by adding a place to go.

Stay for the free MCP server. Streak gives AI access away on every tier, including the free one, where several much larger vendors gate their plain API behind upper plans or offer nothing at all. If connecting an assistant to your CRM matters to you, Streak already solved that and did not charge for it.

Stay if adoption is the thing you are protecting. Streak asks nobody to change where they work, which is why teams that have failed at CRM adoption twice often succeed with it. A CRM people update is worth more than a better CRM they ignore, and that argument beats nearly every feature comparison on this page.

Questions

What does Streak cost?
Pro is listed at $49 per user per month on its monthly option as of September 2026. Its annual toggle displays higher figures than its monthly one across all three plans, which reads as an error on the page rather than a real price, so this page quotes only the monthly number. Check the annual pricing in a browser before committing to a year.
Is Streak's free tier usable as a CRM?
Not really. The free tier covers email tools only: tracking, snippets and mail merge capped at 50 a day. It is a good way to try the interface inside Gmail, and it is not a free CRM in the sense that Attio, HubSpot and Zoho offer one.
What happens if we leave Google Workspace?
That is the structural risk with Streak and worth naming plainly. The CRM is a Gmail extension, so it goes where Gmail goes. A move to Outlook, or a decision that the CRM should be usable by people who do not live in the inbox, is not a configuration change. It is a migration.
Does Streak support AI assistants?
Yes, and generously. Streak publishes an MCP server with OAuth and makes it free to all users, including the free tier. Several larger vendors either gate their API behind higher tiers or offer nothing, so this is one of the more open positions in the category.
