Where HubSpot fits, and what to check first

HubSpot CRM

  • A free CRM for up to 2 users, with no card and no time limit
  • Starter seats from $7 a month on annual billing
  • Workflows scale with the plan: up to 300 on Professional and up to 1,000 on Enterprise
  • The free CRM stops at 1,000 contacts
  • Professional and Enterprise each add a one-time onboarding fee of $1,500 or $3,500 (checked September 2026)

Who HubSpot suits

HubSpot suits you if you want a free CRM for one or two people today and a clear path to paid sales tools later. Starter is cheap per seat, so a small team can add pipelines and email tools for a few dollars each.

Run the numbers at your real headcount before you commit. Every rep on Professional is a separate $90 seat on annual billing, and the plan starts with a $1,500 onboarding fee. If you expect to hire, price the team you'll have in a year, not the team you have now.

Check the contact limit too. The free CRM holds up to 1,000 contacts, which a cold outbound list can pass in a single import.

How SalesCrew compares on cost and control

SalesCrew charges per tier, not per seat. Core is $299 a month and Outbound is $699, and every tier includes unlimited seats. Your fifth rep and your fiftieth cost the same: nothing extra.

Outbound lives in the same database as the pipeline. You get a Data Bank, segments with suppression applied at freeze, multi-step cadences and a mailbox-pool sender with per-mailbox and per-domain daily caps. Replies land in one shared inbox.

AI actions wait for you. Every agent starts in review mode, and any external send sits in one approval queue until a person approves it. Each of the 140+ actions in the app is also an MCP tool. Claude or ChatGPT can work the CRM with the same controls you use.
