The short answer

  • SalesCrew sends a soft alert when AI use reaches 80% of the plan's monthly allowance.
  • At 100% of the allowance SalesCrew pauses AI features only; records, manual email and cadences keep working.
  • SalesCrew sells AI top-ups at $10 per 1,000 credits once the cap is hit, and AI features resume when the credits land.
  • SalesCrew customers on the bring-your-own-key add-on don't draw on the allowance, because AI runs on their own Anthropic key.

The cap stops the AI, never the CRM

An AI allowance protects your budget. It shouldn't lock your team out of its own pipeline. So SalesCrew draws a hard line: when the allowance is used up, only features that call a model pause. That means Draft with AI, AI fields, summaries, scores and the agents.

Everything else keeps running. You can open any record, write and send email by hand, move deals between stages and work the LinkedIn queue. Cadences you built keep sending on your schedule. Your team loses the AI shortcuts for a while, not the day's work.

Picking the right allowance

Your tier sets the allowance. Core at $299 includes about 5,000 model calls a month, Outbound at $699 about 25,000, and Agency at $1,200 about 60,000. If you hit the cap in week two most months, you've outgrown your tier.

The call log tells you why. Each model call records the feature and the agent behind it, so you'll see whether it's inbox drafts, AI fields on a big import, or an agent running more often than it needs to. Fix the cause before you buy more.

Read the 80% alert as a question

An alert at 80% halfway through the month means something changed. Open the log, find the feature or agent behind the jump, and decide whether it's worth the credits before the pause decides for you.

Questions

Does SalesCrew stop working when AI credits run out?
No. At 100% of the allowance SalesCrew pauses AI features only. You can still open records, move deals, send an email you wrote yourself and run your cadences. The hard stop never touches a manual path.
How do I buy more SalesCrew AI credits?
Buy a top-up when the cap is hit: $10 per 1,000 credits. AI features resume as soon as the credits land. If you top up every month, moving to a higher tier or adding your own Anthropic key is usually the better fit.
How big is the SalesCrew AI allowance on each plan?
Core includes about 5,000 model calls a month, Outbound about 25,000 and Agency about 60,000. The 14-day trial includes 2,000. Every call is logged with the feature and agent that made it.
Do SalesCrew AI credits run out if I use my own key?
No. With the bring-your-own-key add-on at $99 a month, AI calls run on your Anthropic key and don't draw on the plan allowance. Anthropic bills your key for the usage directly.
