Managed AI or your own key: what changes

SalesCrew's AI runs on Anthropic's Claude, through one gateway in your instance. That gateway picks a fast model or a quality model for each feature. By default it uses SalesCrew's key, and your plan includes an allowance. With BYOK it uses your key instead.

Your prompts, your settings and your features stay the same either way. What moves is the bill. On managed AI you pay SalesCrew, and past the cap you top up at $10 per 1,000 credits. On BYOK you pay Anthropic for usage and SalesCrew $99 a month for the add-on.

When your own key makes sense

BYOK pays off when your team runs a lot of AI work: agents sweeping the inbox every 15 minutes, AI fields on big lists, drafts on every reply. You'll also want it if your company already has an Anthropic account with its own terms, or if finance wants all model spend on one bill.

With BYOK, SalesCrew's allowance no longer caps your AI use. Set a monthly spend limit in your Anthropic console before you turn agents to auto, so a busy week can't surprise you.
