How do I export my CRM setup and import it into another workspace?

A snapshot is your setup saved as one file. It holds settings, labels, pipelines, fields, templates and marketing connections. It never holds contacts, deals or keys. Export it from one workspace and apply it to another.

What you will need

  • Admin rights in SalesCrew to export, and to apply in merge mode.
  • Super admin rights to apply in replace mode.

Steps

  1. 1

    Step 1

Go to Settings › Branding and scroll to Snapshots.

  2. 2

    Step 2

Type a name. Add a vertical if you like, such as dental. Click Export snapshot. A file downloads and a copy is kept in the list.

  3. 3

    Step 3

In the other workspace, open the same section. Pick a stored snapshot, or upload the file.

  4. 4

    Step 4

Choose merge to add and update without removing anything. Choose replace to switch off anything the file does not have.

  5. 5

    Step 5

Read the confirm box. It lists what will be written. Click apply. What travels: - settings, labels, modules and features; - lists, pipelines and their stages; - custom fields and message templates; - analytics and media connections, settings only. What never travels: contacts, deals, messages, keys, the plan and inbox settings. Marketing connections arrive switched off. Add the keys for this workspace under Settings › Integrations.

Common errors

"may not carry secret.* or inbox.* settings"
the file was edited by hand and has a key in it. Export it again.
"may only carry analytics.* and media.* integrations"
the file lists another kind of connection. Remove that row.
Replace is refused
only a super admin can replace. Use merge, or ask one.

How you know it worked

Open Settings in the other workspace. The pipelines, fields and labels match. Settings › Integrations lists the marketing connections as off until a key is added.

Where this goes in SalesCrew

The other workspace shows the same pipelines, fields and labels after the import. In your own workspace the same how-to opens beside the field, with your callback URLs filled in.
