How monday MCP works
monday.com runs a remote MCP server that your AI client connects to over OAuth. After you sign in, you work in plain words: "add a follow-up task to every deal in Proposal sent", or "which deals moved stage this week?". Your client turns each request into actions on the matching board and item.
Everything a monday CRM account holds sits on boards, so the server reaches deals, contacts and pipeline the same way it reaches a project board. That makes it flexible. It also means your board design decides how well a prompt lands. Clear column names and consistent status labels give the AI far less to guess.

What to check before an AI acts on your monday CRM
Check who the AI signs in as. monday MCP mirrors that person's rights exactly, so an account admin hands the AI admin reach across every board. A sales user with access to the CRM boards only is the safer login for daily prompts.
