How do I find companies with 1 to 100 employees in the Data Bank?
Open Data Bank and click # Employees. Tick 1 – 10, 11 – 50 and 51 – 100. Or type 100 in At most under Head-count. Save that as a segment.
What you will need
- Contacts in the Data Bank of SalesCrew.
- Access to the Data Bank area. Each company has a size band. Some sources also give the real head-count, like 75. We keep that number too. Then the band comes from it, so 75 lands in 51 – 100. Option Who it finds --- --- 51 – 100 Companies whose head-count we know is 51 to 100. 101 – 200 Companies whose head-count we know is 101 to 200. 51 – 200 (all) Both of the above, plus companies we only know as 51 to 200. At least / At most Only companies whose head-count we know. Older segments that use 51 – 200 still find every company they found before.
Steps
- 1
Step 1
Open Data Bank in SalesCrew.
- 2
Step 2
Click # Employees in the filter panel.
- 3
Step 3
Tick the bands you want. Ticks add up, so two ticks show both bands.
- 4
Step 4
For an exact limit, type a number in At least or At most under Head-count. Leave a box empty for no limit.
- 5
Step 5
Check the count in the header. Then click Save as Segment.
- 6
Step 6
To see the number, export the list. The CSV has an Employee count column.
Common errors
- 51 – 100 shows few people
- most companies only have a band so far. Pick 51 – 200 (all) to keep them in.
- At least is above At most
- no company can match. Fix one of the two boxes.
- A company has no Employee count
- its source gave a band, not a number.
How you know it worked
The # Employees chip lists the bands you ticked. The header count shows the people at those companies.
Where this goes in SalesCrew
The Employees chip shows your bands, and the header count drops to those companies' people. In your own workspace the same how-to opens beside the field, with your callback URLs filled in.
