How do I build a multi-step sales cadence in SalesCrew?
Write the steps as a sequence in Outreach, get it approved, then launch a campaign that sends it to a frozen segment through your mailbox pool. Each step waits the days you set, and a reply pauses that contact.
What you will need
- A saved segment of the people you want to reach. See the how-to on freezing a segment.
- One or more mailboxes in the sending pool, each with a daily cap.
- A manager or admin to approve the sequence, if that isn't you.
Steps
- 1
Step 1
In SalesCrew, open Outreach → Sequences and click New sequence. Name it for the offer and the audience.
- 2
Step 2
Click Add step. Pick the Channel, then write the Subject and Body. The Live preview shows how the email reads as you type.
- 3
Step 3
Add the next step and set Wait days. That's the gap after the step before it. Three to five steps with gaps of three days or more is a good start.
- 4
Step 4
Click Submit for approval. A manager opens the sequence and clicks Approve.
- 5
Step 5
Open Outreach → Campaigns and click New campaign. The wizard has five steps.
- 6
Step 6
Audience: pick your segment. Sequence: pick the approved sequence.
- 7
Step 7
Sending: set Send provider to Mailbox pool. SalesCrew spreads the sends across your mailboxes under each one's daily cap.
- 8
Step 8
Schedule: choose Start (now, a date and time, or a day) and the Daily volume. Review, then click Launch campaign.
Common errors
- The sequence shows a status in brackets
- the picker marks any sequence that isn't approved yet. Ask a manager to open it and click Approve.
- Fewer people than the segment shows
- launch freezes the audience and drops suppressed contacts and anyone in cooldown. That's the guardrail doing its job.
- Sends stop partway through the day
- every mailbox reached its daily cap. The rest go out the next day, or add a mailbox.
How you know it worked
The campaign page shows the frozen audience count and the first step's sends queued. The next step runs after its wait days. Ask your assistant to run pool_status for the campaign to see queued, sent and bounced counts.
Where this goes in SalesCrew
Outreach → Campaigns → the new campaign shows its frozen audience and its first sends queued. In your own workspace the same how-to opens beside the field, with your callback URLs filled in.
