Can you use HubSpot for multiple clients?
Yes, as separate accounts you switch between, or as teams inside one account. The choice decides who owns the data later.

The short answer
- An agency can run HubSpot for several clients in two ways: one HubSpot account per client that your team switches between, or one shared account with each client split into teams.
- One HubSpot account per client keeps data and billing apart, because each account holds its own subscription. Your users must be added to every account to switch between them.
- A shared HubSpot account keeps every client in one database. HubSpot lists teams on Professional and Enterprise plans, checked September 2026.
- SalesCrew takes the separate-account route by default. Each client gets its own instance and its own Supabase database, with unlimited seats and full export.
Option one: a HubSpot account for each client
This is the cleaner setup. Each client has its own HubSpot account, and your team members are added as users in each one. According to HubSpot's help centre, a user with access to several accounts switches between them from the account menu after logging in.
You get real separation. Contacts, deals and settings never mix, and each account carries its own subscription. The cost is in the admin: every seat, tool and setting is bought and set up per account, so ten clients means ten of everything.
Option two: one HubSpot account split by teams
Some agencies put every client into one account and use teams to split who sees what. HubSpot lists teams on its Professional and Enterprise subscriptions, and nested teams on Enterprise only, checked on knowledge.hubspot.com in September 2026.
It's cheaper to start, but it gets messy fast. Your clients share one database, one set of properties and one owner. When a client leaves, you have to pull its records out by hand. And a client that asks for proof its data sat apart from a rival's can only be shown a permission setting.

| Setup | Where client data lives | Billing | When a client leaves |
|---|---|---|---|
| HubSpot, one account per client | A separate HubSpot account per client | One subscription per account | The account holder keeps the account |
| HubSpot, one account split by teams | One shared account; teams limit who sees which records | One subscription; teams on Professional or Enterprise | Records are exported and removed by hand |
| SalesCrew (our product) | One Supabase project per client: its own Postgres, storage and edge functions | Each instance at its published tier price, unlimited seats | Full Postgres dump and CSV export |

How SalesCrew runs one CRM per client
SalesCrew was built for the agency that runs sales for many clients. Every client gets its own instance on its own Supabase project, so each client's records sit in a database of their own. You choose the data region when the instance is set up.
Seats are unlimited on every tier, starting at $299 a month on Core, so adding your team and the client's team costs nothing extra. You can brand each instance with your name, logo and subdomain, and a snapshot copies your pipelines and settings from one client to the next. See how it fits together on the SalesCrew for agencies page, or read how to keep client data separate.
Decide who owns the account before you start
Questions
- Can one HubSpot login access several client accounts?
- Yes. HubSpot lets a user who has been added to several accounts switch between them after logging in, per knowledge.hubspot.com in September 2026. Your email has to be added as a user in each client's account first. Each account keeps its own subscription, so a tool bought in one account doesn't carry over to the next.
- Can I keep clients apart inside one HubSpot account?
- Partly, with teams and team-based permissions. HubSpot lists teams on Professional and Enterprise subscriptions, and nested teams on Enterprise only, checked September 2026. Teams limit who sees which records. All clients' data still sits in one database under one owner, which is your account.
- Who owns the data when an agency runs a client's CRM?
- Whoever holds the account or database owns it in practice, so settle it in the contract before you start. If the client holds its own account, it keeps everything when you part ways. If you hold it, plan how you'll export and hand over the records on the last day.
- How does SalesCrew handle several clients for one agency?
- SalesCrew gives each client its own instance on its own Supabase project, with a separate Postgres database, storage and edge functions. Every instance has unlimited seats at its published tier price, from $299 a month on Core. Full export is available at any time, so a client who leaves takes its data with it.
