Best CRM for IT services and MSPs
A PSA platform for an MSP bundles ticketing, billing and contract management with some level of sales pipeline. Compared on price where it is public, and how real the CRM side is.

HaloPSA wins for an MSP that wants one published, all-inclusive price with pipeline management, lead management and forecasting built in, not sold as an add-on. ConnectWise wins instead for an MSP already inside its ecosystem that needs CPQ-integrated opportunity management and is willing to go through a sales process to get pricing.
The short answer
- HaloPSA is £66 per agent per month, billed annually, with no tiers. Every feature including Pipeline Management, Lead Management, Sequences and Forecasting is included at that one price, per usehalo.com/halopsa/pricing.
- ConnectWise and Autotask are both fully demo-gated, with no dollar figures published anywhere on their sites. ConnectWise names 'opportunity management and sales tracking' with CPQ integration, per connectwise.com/platform/business-management/manage.
- Autotask has a Quote Manager tool described as simplifying quoting and driving revenue growth. It adds client relationship tracking, beside ticketing and automated billing, per datto.com/products/autotask-psa.
MSP PSA tools compared
| Tool | Starting price | Seats model | Cold outbound allowed? | Own database? | CRM/pipeline? | Best for | Not for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ConnectWise | Pricing on request | Not published | Not built for it | No, hosted multi-tenant SaaS | Opportunity management and sales tracking, with CPQ integration | An MSP already in the ConnectWise ecosystem wanting CPQ-integrated sales tracking | A small MSP wanting a published price without a sales call |
| Autotask | Pricing on request | Not published | Not built for it | No, hosted multi-tenant SaaS | Quote Manager tool plus client relationship tracking, not a full opportunity pipeline | An MSP already in the Datto ecosystem wanting quoting tied to billing | An MSP wanting a detailed, named sales-pipeline feature |
| HaloPSA | £66/agent/mo (annual) | Per agent, named or concurrent license at the same price; end users free | Not built for it | No, hosted multi-tenant SaaS | Pipeline Management, Lead Management, Sequences, Quotations, Forecasting, Campaigns, all included | An MSP wanting one published, all-inclusive price with a genuinely named CRM feature set | A US-based MSP wanting a confirmed USD price rather than GBP with a currency toggle |
Figures checked on connectwise.com, datto.com/products/autotask-psa and usehalo.com/halopsa/pricing, September 2026. HaloPSA's confirmed rate is in GBP; its site offers a currency toggle that was not independently re-verified in USD.
How each one fits an IT services business
ConnectWise
Automated ticket intake with SLA tracking, unified billing, minute-level time tracking and contract management. It adds opportunity management and sales tracking with CPQ integration for quoting. Every number requires a sales conversation. Not for: a small MSP wanting to compare a published price before committing time to a demo.
Autotask
Rapid ticket resolution integrated with endpoint management, automated billing across labor, contracts and expenses, and a Quote Manager tool aimed at driving revenue from quotes. Deep integration with the Datto and Kaseya ecosystem is the draw for an MSP already there. Not for: an MSP wanting a named, detailed sales-pipeline feature rather than quoting-plus-billing.
HaloPSA
One flat, published rate covering omnichannel ticketing, incident and change management, a CMDB, project management with Gantt charts, billing and contract management. It adds an explicitly named set of CRM features: Pipeline Management, Lead Management, Sequences, Quotations, Forecasting and Campaigns. Not for: a US MSP that specifically wants a confirmed USD number rather than a GBP rate with a currency toggle.
When none of these is the answer
A one- or two-person IT services shop supporting a handful of clients does not need a full PSA platform yet. A shared ticket inbox and a spreadsheet for contracts covers that stage. Any of these tools add per-agent cost and onboarding time. That only pays off once ticket volume or client count makes manual tracking slow.
Disclosure: SalesCrew is our product. It has no ticketing, no RMM integration and no contract or SLA management. It does not replace any tool in this list for running MSP operations. Where it could fit is the sales side. Outbound to prospective clients and a pipeline for new managed-services contracts, sitting beside a PSA tool rather than instead of it. It is not ranked above because it has none of the ticketing or billing features every tool here is built around.
Questions
- Why is HaloPSA priced in pounds and the others aren't priced at all?
- HaloPSA is the only one of the three with public pricing, at £66 per agent per month billed annually, confirmed directly on its own pricing page. ConnectWise and Autotask are both fully demo-gated with no dollar figures published anywhere on their sites. That is typical for PSA platforms sold through an enterprise sales process.
- Do these PSA tools include a real sales CRM, or just ticketing and billing?
- All three name CRM or pipeline features. ConnectWise describes 'opportunity management and sales tracking' with CPQ integration. Autotask has a Quote Manager tool and mentions client relationship tracking. HaloPSA lists Pipeline Management, Lead Management, Sequences, Quotations, Forecasting and Campaigns as included CRM features, not an add-on. That is the most explicit of the three.
- Is HaloPSA's one flat price really all-inclusive?
- HaloPSA markets itself as 'no tiers, no bolt-ons, no locked-away features' at its published per-agent rate. It has an Enterprise option at a flat annual rate for unlimited licenses. That is a different model from ConnectWise and Autotask, which sell through tiered, quote-based packages with add-on modules.
- Should a small MSP even consider ConnectWise or Autotask?
- Usually not until there is enough ticket and billing volume to justify a sales-led enterprise process. Both are built for MSPs already committed to a larger ecosystem. ConnectWise and Autotask (Datto) each have their own RMM and integration stack. A smaller MSP evaluating on price alone has more to compare with HaloPSA's published rate.
