Zoho One vs Zoho CRM: which do you need?
Zoho CRM is one sales app. Zoho One is a bundle of 50+ Zoho apps on one licence. The deciding question is how many of the other apps you would use.

The short answer
- Zoho CRM is Zoho's sales app on its own, with a free edition for up to 3 users and paid editions priced per user.
- Zoho One is a bundle: its Standard edition includes more than 50 Zoho business apps, CRM among them, on one licence and one invoice.
- Zoho One's flexible-user licence is US$90 per user per month on annual licensing, as of September 2026 on zoho.com. Its all-employee model requires you to license every employee on payroll.
- Pick Zoho CRM when you need sales software. Pick Zoho One when you'd also run your books, help desk, HR or email on Zoho.
What each one is
Zoho CRM is a single app for leads, contacts, deals and the work around them. You choose an edition, pay per user, and add other Zoho apps one at a time if you need them.
Zoho One is Zoho's whole suite sold as one product. Essentials covers the basics a small company needs, with more than 15 apps. Standard includes more than 50, plus central admin control and device management. You get every app your edition includes, whether you use it or not.
That's the trade. Zoho One is a good deal when your team would use many of those apps. It's a poor one when you only need a CRM, because you're paying for a suite to use one part of it.

How to decide in five minutes
List the software your team pays for today: email, accounting, help desk, HR, forms, projects. Then mark the ones you'd happily swap for the Zoho version. If the list is empty, buy Zoho CRM. If three or four apps would move, price Zoho One against what you pay for them now.
Next, count your users honestly. The all-employee model means paying for everyone on payroll, including people who never open a CRM. The flexible model lets you license only the people who use it.
Want a CRM that costs the same for 5 people or 50? SalesCrew prices by tier, not by seat: Core is $299 a month with unlimited seats. Each client gets their own database, and every action in the app is also an MCP tool your AI client can call.
A bundle you half use costs more than the apps you need
Questions
- Does Zoho One include Zoho CRM?
- Yes. Both Zoho One editions include a CRM. Essentials bundles a CRM with collaboration, finance, marketing, customer service and HR tools, and Standard includes more than 50 Zoho apps, CRM among them.
- Do I have to buy Zoho One for every employee?
- Only on the all-employee model. Zoho's pricing page says that model requires you to license every employee on payroll. The flexible-user model lets you license any number of users, at US$90 per user per month on annual licensing as of September 2026 on zoho.com/one/pricing.
- Is Zoho CRM free?
- Zoho CRM has a free edition for up to 3 users, with leads, deals, workflows, reports and a mobile app. Paid editions run from Standard to Ultimate and are priced per user, in your local currency on Zoho's pricing page.
- Can I move from Zoho CRM to Zoho One later?
- Yes. Your CRM data stays in Zoho, so moving to the bundle is a licensing change. Check the Zoho One FAQ first: upgrading or downgrading an edition applies to every user in your organisation, not one person at a time.
