The short answer
- SalesCrew connects to Claude through MCP. Every action in the SalesCrew app is also an MCP tool with the same effect, so Claude can search contacts, move deals, draft replies and read the marketing numbers without a screenshot.
- Each token belongs to one person and carries that person's scopes: channel, marketplace profile and area. Users get read-only tokens by default, and managers or admins can allow writes.
- Any external send Claude prepares goes into the SalesCrew approval queue by default. Every tool call lands in the audit log with the token that made it.
- MCP is included from Core at $299 a month, with unlimited seats, so your whole team can connect their own Claude.

Setup
About three minutes, most of it spent choosing whether the token can write.

Mint a token
Open Settings → API access (MCP) in SalesCrew, give the token a label like "my laptop" and decide on Allow writes. The token is shown once, so copy it now.

Add the server to Claude Code
Run the command the settings page shows you: claude mcp add salesops --transport http, then your server URL and the header Authorization: Bearer with your token.

Or add it to Claude Desktop
Create a server named salesops with type HTTP, your instance's server URL, and the same Bearer header.

Restart and ask what it can do
Ask Claude which salesops tools it has. You should see the tool families your scopes allow, from contacts to approvals.

Check the audit trail
Settings → API access shows Last used updating, and the audit log names your token next to each action Claude takes.

Questions
- Can Claude send emails from my CRM on its own?
- Claude can draft and queue a send, and the approval queue holds it until a person approves. External sends default to review for every token and every agent, and each decision is written to the audit log.
- Does Claude Desktop work, or only Claude Code?
- Both work, along with Cursor and custom agents. Claude Code takes one terminal command; Claude Desktop takes a server entry with the URL and a Bearer header. The same token and the same 140+ tools appear in each.
- What can Claude see once it's connected?
- Exactly what your own login can see. Your token carries your channel, marketplace profile and area scopes, so a teammate's token shows a different slice of the same instance.
- Do I need an Anthropic API key for this?
- Your Claude subscription runs the conversation, so connecting Claude needs only the SalesCrew token. The in-app AI features run on SalesCrew's managed key or on your own Anthropic key through the BYOK add-on at $99 a month.
- Which plan includes the MCP server?
- Every plan. Core at $299 a month includes MCP and webhooks with unlimited seats, so every person on the team can mint a personal token.
