How do I switch on AI agents safely with review mode?
Every agent starts in review mode: it drafts, a person approves. Turn one agent on, watch its drafts in Approvals for a few days, then move it to auto for the actions you trust. Guardrails cap what auto mode may do per day.
What you will need
- Admin role. AI features on (Settings → AI).
Steps
- 1
Step 1
Open Agents. Each card shows the agent, its mode and its last run.
- 2
Step 2
Click an agent → Enable. Mode stays Review.
- 3
Step 3
Open Policy and read the allowed tools; untick any you do not want yet.
- 4
Step 4
Under Guardrails set the daily limits (messages, records changed).
- 5
Step 5
Work the Approvals queue for a few days: approve, edit or reject each draft. Rejections teach the policy.
- 6
Step 6
When drafts are consistently right, set the mode to Auto for that agent.
Common errors
- No runs
- the agent's trigger has nothing to do (no new replies, no jobs). Use Run now to test.
- Runs stop
- the daily cap or the AI spend cap was hit. Raise it under Guardrails or Settings → AI.
- Kill switch
- the red button on the Agents page pauses every agent at once. Nothing is lost.
How you know it worked
The agent's card shows a recent run and Approvals lists its drafts.
Where this goes in SalesCrew
Agents → an agent shows runs with drafts waiting in Approvals. In your own workspace the same how-to opens beside the field, with your callback URLs filled in.
