How do I see cost per lead by channel in SalesCrew?

Open Marketing → Overview in SalesCrew and read the Channels table: it lists sessions, leads, spend and cost per lead for each channel side by side. For sales channels such as Upwork or LinkedIn, ask your assistant to run the channel_economics tool.

What you will need

  • Google Analytics 4 connected, so each channel has sessions and leads.
  • Your ad accounts connected, so each paid channel has spend. Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta Ads all work.
  • The marketing module on in SalesCrew, and the area in your access scope.

Steps

  1. 1

    Step 1

In SalesCrew, open Insight → Marketing. The page opens on Overview.

  2. 2

    Step 2

Find the table Channels: traffic, leads, efficiency. Each row is one channel.

  3. 3

    Step 3

Read across the row: Sessions, Leads, Lead conv., Spend and CPL. CPL is spend divided by leads.

  4. 4

    Step 4

Click a channel to open it in Explore, filtered to that one channel.

  5. 5

    Step 5

Open the PPC tab to split paid spend by platform. Each platform row shows spend, conversions and cost per acquisition (CPA).

  6. 6

    Step 6

For sales channels, ask Claude or ChatGPT: *"Run channel_economics."* It returns work items, deals, meetings and cost for each channel over the last 30 days.

  7. 7

    Step 7

Divide cost_usd by work_items to get cost per lead for that channel. The same tool already gives cost_per_meeting and cost_per_deal.

Common errors

CPL is blank
the channel has leads but no recorded spend. Connect the ad account that pays for it.
The table says "No channel data yet"
GA4 is not connected. Add it under Settings → Integrations.
A sales channel shows no cost
channel_economics counts the spend recorded on each work item, such as Upwork connects. Record the spend on the item and ask again.

How you know it worked

The Channels table shows a CPL figure for every paid channel. Your assistant's channel_economics answer lists each sales channel with its cost.

Where this goes in SalesCrew

Marketing → Overview → the Channels table shows Spend and CPL for each channel. In your own workspace the same how-to opens beside the field, with your callback URLs filled in.
